Bread Making


Today we decided to try making homemade bread. I was inspired by a recent trip to Lancaster County, PA after sampling the delicious homemade bread served at the hotel we stayed at. While we were out there I purchased some fresh ground bread flour and wheat gluten to use in my first endeavor. I have no idea how the bread will come out as it didn't get all nice and sticky as the directions said it would after kneading it. It also called for 2 cups of flour more but the dough seemed to get very firm so I left that out. This is definately our first experiment into the realm of breadmaking. It is currently rising in our oven as we speak.

3 hours later: the bread came out great! I was concerned that it hadn't risen enough and want to tweak the recipe some more but overall it was declared a success by my husband.
